Join NEW INC’s director, Julia Kaganskiy, and members Artiphon, Dave and Gabe, Luisa Pereira, and Volvox Labs for a glimpse at how a new generation of musicians and designers is approaching music from a variety of perspectives and reimagining various aspects of the production process. The fundamentals of music may not have changed much in millennia, but new tools and approaches continue to open up uncharted territory. At NEW INC, the New Museum’s incubator for art, design, and technology, creative practitioners are inventing new digital instruments, experimental modes of code-based composition, intuitive interfaces for collaboration and immersive experiences for live performance. What will the future of music sound and look like? This panel may offer some indication. The session will include a series of brief artist talks and a moderated panel discussion.
