Play–Sound is an interactive sound installation by global design & innovation firm, IDEO.
This installation explores sound and creative play through a body-scaled, playful composition of inflatable spheres. Each sphere is equipped with inertial motion sensors—acceleration, rotation, and the Earth’s magnetic fields—enabling the composition of spheres to act as a gestural musical interface. The gestures are interpreted through machine learning and used to sculpt an evolving dynamic sonic output.

Participants play these spheres alone or in groups as a giant beach-ball powered synthesizer!
