Like Dr. Bob Moog, Cyril Lance studied Engineering Physics at Cornell University. During the 1980s and 1990s, Cyril worked in the research field of atmospheric physics while actively pursuing a career as a professional musician. After meeting Bob Moog in early 2005, Cyril was asked to take over the helm of Moog's engineering and product development when Bob got diagnosed with cancer and has been responsible for the design of products such as the Little Phatty, Taurus 3, Minitaur, Sub Phatty, Sub37, and the Animoog. Cyril is dedicated to expanding on the traditions and values that Bob Moog established so many years ago both as an engineer and as a person and finds continual inspiration in crafting tools to enable artists to develop a lifelong journey of creative expression and exploration.
