Rising MC Denzel Curry was born in 1995 and grew up in Carol City, Florida. His first mixtape was King Remembered Underground Tape 1991–1995, which came out in 2011. Soon thereafter he joined SpaceGhostPurrp’s group Raider Klan. He then released a second tape, King of the Mischievous South Vol. 1 Underground Tape 1996. In 2013, Curry released his first studio album, Nostalgia 64, to strong reviews. He left Raider Klan shortly before the album’s release. In 2015 he dropped a highly acclaimed double EP, 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms. One of the hungriest up-and-coming MCs, sporting an explosive flow bristling with triplets yet dexterous and lyrical enough that it garnered props from Earl Sweatshirt, Denzel Curry is poised to bring even more noise.
