Eban Crawford, also known as electronic musician Senator Jaiz, and Christina Cucurullo lead a bit of a double life. By day, Eban is the Audio Engineer at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. He creates soundscapes, music, sound effects, and even performs live soundtracks to accompany lectures. By night, Eban wears his Senator Jaiz persona and creates trip-hop, electronic chill lounge music, and classical compositions. He is the head of Reaching for Lucidity, a Raleigh-based electronic label. Christina Cucurullo works for the Exhibits and Digital Media section of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. She specializes in database creation and management, which keep the Museum’s exhibits running smoothly. Christina is also a musician and writer; performing at past events such as Spazz Fest and SPARKcon. An alumna of Moogfest’s Durham Dial-Tones workshop, she recently built her own Moog Werkstatt-01 Synthesizer.
