McDermott makes ambient noise music under the moniker North Americans and co-founded Driftless recordings with Joel Ford. McDermott also label manages Ghost Ramp, a unique record label with a focus on video game soundtracks - where his passion for ambient soundscapes and videogame obsession collide.
