Janelle Monae

Janelle Monáe is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, performer, and producer known for her unique style and groundbreaking sound. In 2010, Monáe released the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed “ArchAndroid,” which reached No. 17 on the Billboard Charts and earned her two Grammy nominations. In 2013, she released the critically acclaimed album “The Electric Lady” featuring artists like Prince and Miguel, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

In 2014, Monáe was presented with the Jane Ortner Education Award from Michelle Obama and the Grammy Museum. She was also acknowledged by the Harvard College Women's Center and the Harvard College Black Men's Forum. In February of 2015, Monáe announced her independent label, WONDALAND RECORDS, through a joint venture partnership with Epic Records – which features an electrifying roster of artists including, Jidenna, Roman GianArthur, Deep Cotton, and St. Beauty. 

Recently, she’s been collaborating with Nile Rodgers and Duran Duran. In 2017, Janelle takes her talent to the silver screen, in which she will star as the third lead in the upcoming drama Hidden Figures. In addition to filming, Janelle is currently in the studio recording her highly anticipated third solo album.
