Lister Hewan-Lowe
Lister Hewan-Lowe was born on September 26, 1952 in Kingston, Jamaica. He moved to the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn at the age of 13. Becoming an Island Records executive, he worked with artists such as Black Uhuru, and did PR for Bob Marley. He is also an accomplished painter of penthouses. He has hosted a legendary North American reggae radio show, “Saturday’s A Party,” on SUNY Stony Brook’s WUSB 90.1 FM; picked up by Pacifica Radio, the show carried riddims from New York to Houston and California.
